Check into Calamigos Resort and join colleagues from around the country for an opening reception and dinner at 6PM.  If you arrive early, start your retreat by relaxing by one of the resort pools or use the gym designed for The Biggest Loser TV Show.  Ask for a tour of the resort or explore the 160 acres of Calamigos Ranch  surrounded by vineyards and the Santa Monica National Park lands.

Calamigos has been an educational resort since the 1940s and hosts conferences, retreats, and seminars.  Pepperdine students have been living here for the past decade in both learning communities and off-campus housing.

A day of learning and reflection as you hear colleagues share about the practical application of Pharos on their campuses.  Get a freshmade omlet or California fresh fruit for breakfast at the resort at 9AM.  Sessions at 10 and 11AM in the student center.  We will take a break and walk from the student center to lunch at the famous Malibu Cafe followed by afternoon sessions on retention strategies and how your campus can host a study abroad program at the ranch.

Calamigos is a premier wedding location for Malibu that hosts about a dozen weddings at 5 different venues every weekend.  During the week these venues are perfect locations for indoor and outdoor classrooms.

End our weekend at the beach!  Checkout of your rooms, load up the car, and head to our Beach Club at Corral Beach.  Breakfast will be served at 9AM at the Club, followed by worship and devotion on the beach.  We will wrap up with a final session designed to give you inspiration and ideas to take back to your campus.  Stay at the beach as long as you like before heading to Biola and ACSD.

Watch out for movie stars on the property as any given week we have movie and TV show filmings at the resort.  This week we are sharing our Student Center with an episode filming of "This is Us".
